Bruce Yalowitz
, M.D.
Dr. Yalowitz grew up in Northwest Indiana. He attended Indiana University Bloomington and graduated with high distinction with a major in chemistry. He was selected for membership in the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He then received his medical degree from Indiana University and completed his residency at the University of Illinois Hospitals and Clinics (University of Illinois, Michael Reese, Cook County and the Westside VA hospitals) in Chicago. He also teaches/lectures for the Indiana University School of Medicine and serves as an assistant adjunct clinical professor. He has a strong interest in minimally invasive treatments of enlarged prostates (BPH) including laser prostatectomy, overactive bladder/neurourology, minimally invasive approaches to female incontinence, renal/ureteral stones, vasectomy as well as oncology and general urology. He is currently the president of the medical staff at The Community Hospital. He is married to wife, Jenny, who is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. They have two children and a dog named Toby. He enjoys travel, road bicycling, swimming, photography and spending time with his family.
