Dr. Kumar grew up in Crown Point, IN and graduated from Merrillville High School before pursuing a degree in Biology, with a minor in business administration from the University of Southern Indiana. She earned her M.D. degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine and completed an internship in General Surgery and a residency in Urology from the Wayne State School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. She joined the Urologic Specialists of Northwest Indiana in September 2018.

Dr. Kumar’s areas of interest and expertise include non-surgical and minimally invasive treatment of female incontinence, overactive bladder, prolapse, stone surgery and BPH.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Vinny and their children. She also enjoys traveling and cooking.
